Congratulations to Jennifer Lucene on her successful multiple screenings of Creative Retaliation in
association with PassionPlace Productions: Opening performance at Woodstock's Colony Cafe presented by Youth Epic Company!
Creative Retaliation, a documentary which premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival this
past September 21st, explores how the artists of the Hudson Valley area have been affected by the events of September 11, 2001.
Artists of many different mediums explore the ways in which their creative expression has been altered by this catastrophe and how
their creative gifts come to be a weapon to combat terror. They show how creativity is not only an essential element to the
healing process, but also a useful and powerful tool for society.
A quote from filmmaker, Jennifer Lucene:
"I moved to upstate New York on September 1, 2001. I spent a week unpacking and cleaning things up. I had just finished and
sat down to watch television and I saw the world blow up. I had to do something; I needed to be of service. I spent the next
couple of weeks feeling so powerless. I volunteered for the Woodstock Film Festival and met some truly amazing individuals. I
realized what an extraordinary community Woodstock was and it suddenly became clear what I had to do. A power greater than myself
led me to create the documentary. This film was made to help others: to help them heal, help them learn, help them realize there
is an alternative to destruction. That alternative is creation."

Thank you to all who came out to audition the past couple of weeks for this wonderful production! You were all phenomenal! We
found every role required to shoot a tremendous pilot! Please stay in touch for updates on In Your Dreams!
In Your Dreams - A Fantasy Sitcom
Television sitcoms have taken place in all sorts of familiar and not-so-familiar locales - suburban homes, urban apartments,
bars, police stations, hospitals, schools. In Your Dreams is the first sitcom to take place in the most familiar, yet most
unexplored of all locations - the human mind. That's right, the series takes place almost entirely inside the dreams of Layla, a
young woman who is on a comedic dream-quest to find a mysterious man she has met only briefly in real life. In the house of
dreams, pretty much anything goes and the cast of characters that Layla must contend with are surreal, dangerous, ditzy, dramatic,
ridiculous, fantastic - and always funny. In Your Dreams is one part Alice in Wonderland, one part Red Dwarf,
a dash of Monty Python, and a steady flow of fresh and original themes.
The Appeal of the Surreal
In recent years, popular television series have begun to explore, more and more, the edges of reality. From the darkly
supernatural tales of The X-Files to the vampiric comedy of Buffy, audiences have expressed their desire for stories
that go beyond the usual boundaries of daily life and consciousness. In Your Dreams takes viewers one step beyond, to the
source of the mythic and surreal - the unconscious mind itself.
Healing Metaphor
In Your Dreams can be enjoyed on several levels. First and foremost, it is fun. But the dream elements are rooted in
current psychology and laboratory studies of dreaming and sleep. As dreams do, each episode explores and deals with some
unconscious aspect of daily life, seeking to reveal or resolve problems and difficulties. The series can be considered as a
humorous healing metaphor in the fantastic tradition of Alice in Wonderland, the mythos of African or Native American
folklore, Sufi teaching tales, the Thousand and One Nights, or the therapeutic stories of hypnotherapist Milton Erickson. The
viewer can follow Layla on a journey to confront her deepest fears, frustrations, and innermost nature, returning to the waking
world with a greater sense of integration and appreciation of life.
